Boba Network Partners with Decentralized Oracle Witnet
Palo Alto, CA – September 14, 2021
As part of Boba Network’s continued mission of building an Ethereum ecosystem that is both more inclusive and more secure, they are pleased to announce a new partnership with decentralized oracle Witnet.
Leveraging state-of-the-art cryptographic and economic techniques to provide user smart contracts with secure data input, Witnet’s oracle remains true to the censorship-resistant nature of blockchains. As part of the Alliance of Decentralized Oracles (ADO), Witnet has joined forces with other leading decentralized oracle solutions to make the life of smart contract developers easier by creating oracle standards.
Witnet runs on its own blockchain and relies on the WIT token to incentivize independently run nodes that both resolve data requests and agree on the results.
“We are entering a multi-chain era in which we will be taking advantage of the unique features of many smart contract platforms. Boba Network ticks all the right boxes to become the go-to Layer 2 solution for Ethereum devs to keep growing with their eyes set on innovation instead of scalability challenges,” highlighted Adán SDPC from Witnet Foundation. “Witnet is delighted to be in the forefront of this, working side by side with projects in the Boba ecosystem to help them build more secure, efficient and usable dApps and protocols.”
“Without a reliable oracle, smart contracts are subject to hacks, monetary loss and other forms of corruption,” said Alan Chiu, CEO of Boba Network. “A partnership with Witnet is a natural fit for Boba – their decentralized system is able to withstand potential vulnerabilities and consistently provide secure and trusted data for developers.”
About Boba
Boba is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) equivalent Layer 2 Optimistic Rollup that helps Ethereum smart contracts scale while delivering a delightful user experience. Boba enables Ethereum developers to build dApps that trigger code running on web-scale infrastructure such as AWS Lambda, making it possible to leverage sophisticated algorithms that are either far too expensive, far too slow, or practically impossible to execute on-chain.
About Enya
Founded by Stanford faculty and alumni, Enya pioneered decentralized privacy and became the largest provider of secure multiparty computation services, serving more than 10 million users across 91 countries. Enya creates decentralized infrastructure solutions that serve the next billion users, leading with Boba Network. Boba is an Ethereum Layer 2 solution that scales and augments Ethereum, helping developers deliver a more delightful and inclusive user experience. Enya is a core contributor to OMG Foundation.
